We are honoured to have Ali Madanipour as our keynote speaker, who will deliver an inspirational talk at the end of the conference.

  

 

 

Ali Madanipour is a Professor of Urban Design at the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, Newcastle University. His research has investigated the processes that shape the urban space and their implications for disadvantaged social groups and the environment. Recent work has engaged with urban temporality (Cities in Time, 2017, Bloomsbury), planning theory (Handbook of Planning Theory, 2018, Routledge), spatial justice (Relocal.eu, 2016-21), and public space (Rethinking Public Space, 2023, Elgar).
