How to get to DEC:

The Civil Engineering Department is located in Polo II of the University of Coimbra, on the right bank of the Mondego River, in the Pinhal de Marrocos area. It houses part of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, namely the Departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

To Coimbra:

Train/Bus

From Lisbon - there are frequent train and bus connections in a journey that takes approximately 120 minutes. Train: Santa Apolónia and Oriente stations. Bus: Sete Rios Bus Terminal

From Porto - there are frequent train and bus connections in a journey which takes approximately 60 minutes. Train: Campanhã and São Bento stations. Bus: Garagem Atlântico Bus Terminal

To DEC - Polo II

Within the city of Coimbra, Coimbra's Urban Transport network (SMTUC) has three bus lines serving Pólo II:

- Line 34 - University - Polo II of the University, with regular passages during the day (between 7am and 8pm).

- Line 38 - Planalto S. Clara (Fórum) - University Pole II, with regular services during the day (between 7 am and 8 pm).

- Line 24T - Palácio da Justiça - Quinta da Nora, with a reduced frequency (at the end of the day and on weekends and holidays).

Tickets can be purchased at the SMTUC sales points throughout the city or at the DEC bar. It is also possible to purchase a monthly pass at the SMTUC offices.

Road:

Visitors coming from the north:

Highway A1 - Exit "Coimbra-Sul". Exit at Rainha Santa Isabel Bridge. Follow signs for Polo II of the University.

Visitors coming from the south:

Highway A1 - Exit "Condeixa". Follow IC2 towards Coimbra. Exit "Rainha Santa Isabel Bridge". Follow directions to "Pólo II da Universidade".
